Flashback to PBS: Sesame Street

Back when I was growing up in the early-mid '90s, I would watch PBS Kids every morning. I would watch shows like Sesame Street, Lamb Chop's Play Along, Shining Time Station, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, and many others. Occasionaly, I'd watch the Frugal Gourmet, This Old House, Woodright Shop, etc.

Tonight, we're going to take a look at the show Sesame Street. Today, it's still alive and kicking, but not as much as it was back in the day. I remember watching Big Bird, Elmo, Ernie, Cookie Monster, etc. I obviously don't watch it anymore, but I like to look back on it.

Below is a link to a video of the credits at the end of a 1992 episode I found on the Internet. The best part is the ending because it has all of the cool retro emblems like the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the PBS bumper that was used back then. Prepare for a major nostalgia trip! You have been warned.

This post is right up my alley. I am at times obsessed with "Sesame Street." Mostly the Muppets, though there is very little of the show that I don't like.

The new pacing is a little off to me, but they are starting to bring back some of the classic characters again, albeit with different performers. Oh well, time moves on.
